A come-and-go coffee honoring Bruce and Frances Lewis will be held at the Church of Christ on Thursday morning, February 6, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Bruce is the longtime minister of the Weatherford Church of Christ. Bruce is also very active in a number of community events. He was recently one of two recipients of the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame Award for 2013.

Southwest Playhouse, Inc. in Clinton is gearing up to produce their third production of the 2013-2014 season “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”. This classic favorite based on the 1954 MGM film and The Sobbin' Women by Stephen Vincent Benet is sure to delight young and old patrons alike. Julie Barnett, director of the piece, has been doing her homework and has read the short story by Benet in order to find the “grass roots” intent of the author. “I am assured that everyone who sees our show will have a fantastic time.”

Young Professionals is hosting a Lunch & Learn entitled, "How To Start And Succeed With Etsy: Internet Sales & Marketing Your Talents." The featured speaker is Stacie Bloomfield of Edmond, founder of Gingiber.com, an illustrative paper goods & homewares store, specializing in prints, pillows, & tote bags that are sweet enough for children but smart enough for adults. The event, sponsored by All About Moi, will be Monday, February 17, noon, at the Weatherford Chamber office, 210 W. Main St. Admission is $10 for the general public, $6 for young professional members.
